Leviticus 18:20–25 And you shall not lie sexually with your neighbor’s wife and so make yourself unclean with her…You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.
Leviticus 18:26–28 (ESV) — 26 But you shall keep my statutes and my rules and do none of these abominations, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you 27 (for the people of the land, who were before you, did all of these abominations, so that the land became unclean), 28 lest the land vomit you out when you make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
Genesis 2:24 (ESV) — 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Malachi 2:15 Did he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union?…
Ephesians 5:31–32 (ESV) — 31 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.
Malachi 2:15 Did he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was God seeking? Godly offspring.
Genesis 1:27 (ESV) — 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
““Psalm 139:13–16 (ESV) — 13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Genesis 9:6 “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.
2 Kings 24:3–4 “Surely this came upon Judah at the command of the Lord, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, and also for the innocent blood that he had shed. For he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the Lord would not pardon.”
How do we decide which issues are most important when making political decisions. Does God tell us in the Scriptures what is important to Him? Yes He does.
